From Challenges to Change

Strengthening Law Enforcement Recruitment and Hiring

Wednesday, October 7 | 1 pm Eastern (60 Minutes)

Regular training strengthens performance. When policy and daily practice align, you reduce risk and improve readiness.

Law enforcement agencies across the country continue to face challenges attracting qualified applicants, moving candidates efficiently through the hiring process, and building a workforce prepared for long-term success creating the need for more intentional, evidence-informed recruitment and hiring systems.

Join the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE) and Lexipol as panelists explore the research, advisory-group input, and law enforcement focus group feedback that informed NAWLEE’s Recruitment Readiness Framework, along with the framework’s companion checklists. Practitioners will also share real-world perspectives on testing and applying the tools within their agencies.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to identify strengths and gaps in current recruitment and hiring processes.
  • How to use the framework’s companion checklists to prioritize areas for improvement.
  • How recruitment and hiring efforts can be organized by priority designation and workstream.
  • Ways to engage the personnel responsible for different parts of the hiring process.
